For ADN members – Autodesk DevDays DevHack 2015 Coming Soon!
Hurray, Autodesk DevDays DevHack 2015 is coming soon! The annual Developer Conference at Autodesk University takes place at The Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas, Nevada, on Monday November 30, with DevHack on December 1. For those of you who haven’t attended before, these events include keynotes from Autodesk executives and engineers, industry breakouts, a DevHack programming lab, and a fun evening party. This event, unlike the entire Autodesk university which is open to the public, is only open to members of Autodesk’s Developer Network.

Autodesk DevDays DevHack 2015 Special note – DevDays is now DevWeek
Autodesk is changing the format of the DevDay events which will take place around the globe from November 2015 through to January 2016. This year DevDays will be week-long events including the traditional DevDay event on the first day and then a 3-4 day (depending on location) long abbreviated form of our Autodesk Cloud Accelerator Extension programs. Why? Autodesk thinks that with their latest Cloud technologies, partners need more time to gain in-depth knowledge and build their first prototypes, and there isn’t time for Autodesk to cover this during the traditional single day DevDay. These Accelerator workshops are a chance for you to work on your own projects incorporating Autodesk Cloud APIs with the help and advice of our DevTech engineers. Cloud APIs you might consider for your project includes the View & Data API, AutoCAD I/O, ReCap Photo API, Fusion 360 API, BIM 360 APIs, and InfraWorks 360 API. This is a great opportunity to prototype your first web services using app with a web services expert Autodesk engineer looking over your shoulder.
The first day of the week, the DevDay, will, as in the past, include reviews of the upcoming enhancements in Autodesk desktop platforms. We will have engineers on hand during the whole week that can help with most desktop API questions that you may have. That said, the focus for the week will very much be about helping you build your first web services leveraging prototype.
Here’s the Schedule for DevDays Worldwide

So now some of you are asking “what happened to my local DevDay?” (Paris, Milan, Gothenburg, Sydney and so on). DevDay has always been about looking at our newest products, features, and services. For our new web service APIs, the learning curve is steep, and a few hours during a DevDay is just not enough. We need 3 to 4 days with you. With each event now lasting a week instead of a day, we had to reduce the number of venues this year. We hope you will come to your nearest DevWeek to make a larger investment in both your time and travel to work with us building your first web service using prototype. If that is not of interest to you, then we will be posting the important new product information from the DevDay conference online once the DevWeek tour has ended.
Attendance is flexible – you can come for the whole week, or just the DevDay event, or just the Accelerator! A complete DevDays 2015 agenda will be posted to the ADN extranet in the coming weeks, and online registration will go live in late September.
